About Me

My name is Paige, and I graduated from ISU in May 2007 with a journalism degree. I’m currently working at a large insurance company, as a project planner. While my job is great, and the people I work with are even greater, I’m beginning to pursue my dream of being a health writer, by going back to school for a dietetics degree. Hopefully my journalism degree, along with becoming an RD will help my credentials in pursuing this dream.

I’m also happily married to the love of my life, aka Shane or the hubski. He also works at the large insurance company with me, and together we have a dog, Niko, and a cat, Clarabelle, both of whom will be featured on the blog numerous times.book

I moved to Normal when I started going to ISU, and then after graduation, I moved in with Shane, who bought a house here in Normal. I grew up in a town about 45 minutes away, which I think is a nice distance away from home. Totally doable for a day trip, but not too close to where I feel like I never left. I have two wonderful parents and an awesome older brother.

I started the blog in July of 2009. Fitness, nutrition, and writing have always been passions of mine, so I figured, why not? My most recent passion is running. In May of 2009, I went from “hating running” to running several 5k’s and two 10k’s by October.

Join me as I run around this town called, Normal, and run around the concept of normalcy.

    I’m married to the love of my life (for almost 11 years!!) and we have a dog name Nico too!!! I love that name. I always thought it was a really cool name when I listened to the Velvet Underground and now I have a very awkward pug who would not be cool if she were a person. We love her anyway!
